Reason for limited mixer channels

Hey guys,

I just posted a request in the to do forum about this and I was wondering what are actually the reasons for FL having a strongly limited number of mixer channels whereas all other DAWs offer that? I don't know anything about coding so I to me it seems like an easy thing to fix but I could be wrong.
