Microphone always on in Windows 10

Hi,
Since switching to Windows 10(Arghhhh) my microphone is always on.
I have to unplug the cable from microphone when i am not using it.

Microphone is not USB(keeping less USB connections as many USB inputs tend to affect the USB Mouse)
but plugged directly into Sound Card input.

This happens even when the mixer channel where the mic is connected is mute and fader on zero.
This did not happen on Win 8.1, so i guess this is a (new uncalled for change by MS) MicroSoftie problem?
It seems the OS is sending microphone to speakers bypassing FL Studio.
This is a crazy thing, but i've come to expect crazy things from MicroSoftie.

Anyone else having the same problems?
Anyone know of a solution?
