Is there a reason why no other daw has "expression maps"?

Cubase has note expression and expression maps which other daws dont have. I could understand a reason for the first but not the latter. Why isnt pro tools, fl studio or logic trying to implement a cleaner way of using keyswitches? Is it that hard to create something like cubase or is it somehow patented? With the release of Fl studio 12 It would be great to see something similar.
