BUILDING A NEW DAW

I hope this isn't something I shouldn't ask here but I'm going to anyway. My computer has finally given out and it's time for a new one, no I'm not all hyped about windows 8.... So I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions. Right now I'm still using my gifted M Audio Delta 1010 PCI break out box... I really want to make sure that I get the right motherboard that won't cause any conflicts, enough ram and the right OS to ensure that FL Studio is all good.

Im going to take this to my PC guy and he will build it out and adjust settings to what ever I request ie; having my 1010 on it's own IRQ etc.

I would appreciate any help and I can't afford to spend $1,100 on an ADK system..I would say the budget is at $750 respectively.
