I have a .mid file that I've imported into FL 10.08. I had to "stretch" it to 125% of the original length so the events would align properly, but this was relatively easy in the Piano Roll. Just CTRL-A to select all, then hold ALT for snap, then drag the little circle at the end of the phrase and stretch it up to 125%.
The associated Events though are another matter. I can't figure out how to do it. Can anyone help?
I see buried under the Edit menu in the Event editor a command to turn it into an Automation Clip. From there I know I can can muck around with the Pitch (superficially renamed "Time") and the Root Note to change the duration of the Automation Clip, but there has to be an easier way. This is terribly unintuitive, and it just doesn't make any sense (Root Note for a clip??).
It looks like the Channel settings for Automation Clips were only halfway converted - the knob says "Time" but still works in Cents, and the range spinner is still called "Pitch knob range (semitones)" in the Hint bar.
I can possibly make this work, but I don't know how to convert Cents into a percentage Other suggestions? Or this easier in the latest Beta?
