Tried in these two days with example and documentation, but I can't figure it out how it works. I mean the IEF on Love Philter, for example.
First - In the tutorial it says the IEF returns modulation values so that envelopes above the mid-line of the graph area are positive and envelopes below the mid-line are a negative. (and on the picture in the manual the yellow line is, in fact, only from the mid horizontal line to the ief envelope). But at home I can't reproduce it;
I always get this, from the bottom of the graph to the drawed envelope:
Also, on the FL Hint bar, from left to top and from bottom to top I see 0%->100% values, not -100%->0%->100%.
Second - I tried this example:
For what I understand, it should works so:
1 - IEF create the Envelope Follower (Envelope Detector) signal from the Input Signal (or from output of Bank1 if I enable the option to the right section of the plugin; but I don't care right now). For semplify all, I throw as input a sine wave; teorically, the EF should be a sine wave;
2 - The EF generate by IEF is processed: if I increase the volume of the original sine wave, the IEF generated will increase. If the peaks of this one are under 25% (25% in the scale between -36.9db and 0 I guess, for both positive/negative side) will be muted. Between 25% and 50% should increase linear; between 50% and 75% must be "stable" (no modulation on peak). Than, a brutal decline if the peak are over 75%.
In fact this not happens. I never have a "constant" peak modulation, and the % not correspond to the peak volume:
Can you help me to understand this mechanism? Thank you!
