Dear Fl's,
I do alot of making mega mixes of old disco tracks, which ofcourse, have mostly drifting BPM's.
I produce these mixes in Ableton Live but i am stepping over to Fl.
So i was wondering which is the best method to "warp" these disco tracks.
I assume i am looking for a tool that is capable of detecting just the right (amount of) transients in a disco song.
And with that i mean a tool that for instance automatically can set a transient marker per measure or per beat in 4/4.
Then those transient markers have to be snapped or quantized to a steady BPM grid, so i can beatmix the disco tracks perfectly.
Must i choose Newton or Edison for this wish ?
And is it possible at all or am i asking too much from FL ?
The reason i want to make these disco dj mixes in FL instead of Live is that Live's stretch audio quality completely sucks imho.
The Pro stretch algorythm in FL is far superiour in terms of sound quality, which i find amazing in FL.
Rob.
