Will a new 6th generation intel i7 laptop CPU 2-core, perform any better than a 5 year old desktop AMD cpu with 4 cores? Thinking of FL studio mainly.
In my experience, multi-threading in FL is huge for performance. If I disable it in FL settings my desktop slows to a crawl.
I don't need crazy performance. (My desktop is ok performance wise) but if I get a brand new laptop I certainly want it to be equal to or better than my stone-age desktop.
CPUs. 2 vs 4 cores for FL
