But there's some room for improvement to this incredible and unique plugin. OKEY, here we go:
1. Bypass.
- Make a bypass button above/under the plugin (thumbnail pic) in the map tab.
✓ 2. Buttons for Surface.
- Controller buttons like knobs and faders. For: Bypass, On/Off and Switches.
3. Mixknob for plugins.
- Be able to view a mix percentage knob in map mode just as cable volume.
Now you have to use two cables and send both dry and wet signal, manually split the percentage amount.
4. Crossfade A-B plugin.
- To be able to crossfade the signal to output A or B.
(If anyone got a workaround pls let me know).
5. Bridgemode in patcher.
6. Bypass parameter and event cables.
- There are many times I wanted to bypass them, as it is now, you have to disconnect them.
7. Select plugin presets in map tab.
- When your in the map tab, add the preset menu when you right-click a plugins picture thumbnail.
8. Send parameter value out from patcher.
- For ex. Be able to send peak controller data to an "external" plugin in a fx slot.
✓ 9. Plugin popup window.
- View plugins in an popup window outside patcher when double clicked. As in MiniHost.
10. Open surface and plugin tab in a combined window.
- So you can see both plugins and your surface knobs/fader at the same time. Useful when using logarithmic and more advanced curves.
11. Combine cable point plugin.
- Many times you want to just combine several cables before linking them further. For easy bypass and volume control etc.
That has a small simple GUI thumbnail.
12. Align graphics layout.
- Align graphics in a invisible grid. On/off button. Would be nice, especially in the surface tab.
✓13. Re-arrange plugins in plugin tab.
- Without this option, it easily gets messy when using many plugins.
14. Custom background.
- It would be cool with a little variation for your creations.
Many of these suggestions are probably already done for the FLS 12 release.
If not, I hope that some of these stuff will be implemented. Patcher is an incredible tool and has such potential!
Further I hope that Patcher gets the same GUI treatment as all other plugins. Maybe with inspiration from the fantastic new mixer
