Returning user needs advice

Hi all!

This is probably my first post here on the forum. I have used FL for years, but I switched to Ableton a year ago due to that my university are working in that environment. Oh well, I decided to give FL a try and have been reading the manual quite intense the last few weeks to get me back on track. Today is however the first day I sit down and work on a track in it. I have a few workflow related issues (some are different than before and some are never reflected on before), maybe some of you know workarounds for it?

I cant loop in song mode. How do you simply select a loop in the song section? I can select by rightclicking and dragging on the timeline, but it wont loop there.

I cant press space when I have open a vst to start the song. I can't remember FL used to behave this way. Is there a workaround?

Is there a key command to change the pencil (or toggle between like 2 options?)

I think that is it for now
I absolutely love the channel routing options in the mixer compared to Ableton where you have to cheat the program a little bit to create groups in groups. The work on FL studio 12 and touch screen support and the IL remote looks promising
