Event editing

Hello. I really like FL Studio. But one thing i absolutely dont get and it drives me crazy: how to properly edit events after you recorded them.

For example here is master pitch event, it is set to -1200, but i want to set it to 0 again at the exact point. Or set another value for pitch in that area. But i can't even delete this section! i am going crazy. It gives me shivers down my spine when i imagine more complicated editing than this... its almost impossible to draw a straight line using this method...

Thanks!!!

P.S. I know, its probably better idea to use automation clips for that, but why do we need this "edit event" then...
