Plugins getting lost, not getting loaded?

Hi Folks!
For the first time of working with FL in 10 years I am absolutely annoyed. I don't know if this happens to anybody but me. What? Let me explain:
Since FL 12 often when I load a project, VSTs do not get loaded. If i look at them, there's something like "Plugin lost connection" or so. Then there is a reload button and sometimes it reloads, sometimes it doesn't.
Even more annoying and dangerous is the following: This "lost connection" thing can happen without noticing and if I then save the project, I have empty Fruity Wrappers instead of the plugins. so I have to go through all mixer channels after loading the project to make sure, that all effects have been successfully loaded. This is tedious and absolutely unnecessary. What the hell have the developers done? Was this necessary? More important: Is there any way to fix this behaviour? I would be really glad about it, because I am close to switch back to FL11.
