I'm using FL 12, and my song has a lot of lowpassed synths. Every time I render the project, whether as MP3 or WAV, I hear what's best described as a 'rattling' noise whenever one of the aforementioned lowpassed-synths hits. However, this rattling noise only shows up when I'm listening on certain devices; I hear it when playing from my MP3 player, yet not from my computer or from FL (using the same headphones). There's plenty of headroom and nothing is clipping...not sure why this is happening and why I only hear it from certain devices. Any ideas for what could be causing this? Are there any general solutions I can try?
Attached is a (poorly mixed) sample, although it might not help because, again, the problem only manifests itself on certain devices.
