Music plays different then others

I'm not sure if this is a mixing problem or technical problem but when i listen to my beats they don't play the same way as my favorite artists songs. Its like theirs is very wide and mines is weird and narrow( and its not in mono) no matter how long and hard I mix/master it. This has been happening for years.
