Right now, there are 3 ways that you can detect the key of a sound (and in what octave) in FL Studio.
These ways are
OK, so I have a simple 3xOsc patch that produces a sine wave.
The patch looks like this:
I placed a short C5 note in the piano roll, recorded it & added it to the channel rack.
It sounds like this: I loaded up "Newtone" & "Edison" in a mixer track and dragged-&-dropped the recorded sample in each one.
"Edison" with detect pitch regions: "Newtone": I played the sample in a mixer track with "Fruity Parametric EQ 2" in it.
"Fruity Parametric EQ 2": So Edison & Newtone say that the sample is in the key C6 & Fruity Parametric EQ 2 says the sample is in the key of C5.
Who should I trust?
