Are a lot of EDM-producers using Reaper for everything, not only the recording/audio part?
I don't think so. I could make a large list of why I think Reaper is the best DAW out there but sometimes the layout of FL, Live, and Reason just seem more inspiring to create electronic genres. Reaper is starting to grab more attention among film composers. As for Studio One, I don't get its greatness and I've had a license ever since it came out.

As for serious audio editing most DAWs have an option in preferences to open an audio editor. If I need something major done I can open Soundforge in FL and Reaper.
