EastWest Instruments and panning

Hello! I've been using the instrument library at EastWest and their instruments are pretty awesome. The only issue I have is with performance.

Namely, that I use instrument panning for harmonies quite a bit. I've tried panning individual notes on piano roll but that doesn't seem to work (?), the only method I've been using that works to my satisfaction is to load the same instrument 3 times. One instrument for the center pan when I'm not playing a harmony and for harmonies one for the left pan and one for the right pan (example).

Needless to say this creates a lot of time loading the multiple instances of one instrument but also with memory during playback. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can pan using only one instance during certain parts when playing harmonies?
