Suggestion - Solo button on plug-in wrapper?

I've had an idea, which surely someone must have thought of before (either that or it's crap, or you can already do it somehow..).

I was messing about with a VST and went to solo it in the channel rack and had a thought that it would be nice and convenient if you could also do this from on the wrapper itself? Possibly next to the volume/pan knobs.
