Hey guys, so i've designed and about to build an custom midi keyboard controller for ichiro toda's synth1. It will be full size 49key controller, with every parameter mapped out across the keyboard, much like any other keyboard synth.
My plan is to have it mapped to a synth1 VST and then automatically link each knob to a whichever instance of the plugin is up using the override generic link feature... This would allow me to play each version of synth1 like it was a hardware synth.
I dont think it would matter too much that the controls aren't motorized, as the settings will be saved within the VST, so going back to one instance, visually it wouldnt map up, but internally it's still linked correctly.
I'm considering extending this to other VST controllers, such as an maybe PEQ 2, whereby every instance of PEQ2 you open up, you have REAL hands on control over.
Also thkning of making 500 series style controllers for the slate digital stuff...
Who would be interested in this kind of thing? If i am, surely others are too?
