Drag'n'drop from a sampler channel works, but drag'n'drop from Edison doesn't.

If you right-click a channel button of a VST, in the channel rack, you get the option to sample it and output as a bank of audio files or a single, monolithic, DirectWave instrument preset.

Formerly, this was done in DirectWave's preferences, and is now an option accessible throughout FL Studio. You don't even need to load an instance of DW in your project

Try this method with Kontakt (which i don't have so was unable to test that particular plugin).
