Hey!
So, as the title says, I am having trouble figuring how to automate the tempo of a single track. I know how to automate the tempo for the project overall but I want a single track, in this case a heartbeat, to increasingly pick up its pace, while the other tracks, in this case ambient suspense, remain unaltered in their tempo. I want to use automation as it allows me to control the tempo down to the fine details, in contrast to samplers which usually have values you need to pick and chose from.
I am using the v12.3 of the Producer Edition. I recall earlier versions making it as simple as dragging whatever sample into the playlist, stretch with your cursor(At the expense of the pitch changing and sound distortion) and boom - done. I don't seem to be able to do this anymore, so I'm curious as to what the go-to method is now.
I would prefer a solution that doesn't affect the pitch, so if you know of a sampler that allows me to automate the tempo, please let me know!. However, for this given project, pitch isn't really a concern, so whatever the way of dropping and dragging is now, I'm sure it would be very helpful!
Thank you
