can someone explain to me why odd harmonics sound different than even harmonics? what is the quality about how sound works on a scientific level that makes one waveform different than another. I know it's timbre, but what EXACTLY is timbre? how is it that, using a vibrating speaker cone, we can reproduce sound at almost the same level of realism and clarity as if the sound was happening right in front of us?
