I've read a ton of posts and the links to PC spec advice, but getting confused and disheartened that I feel like a loser unless I spend 5 years researching and then spend £8 million on processor alone!!
My tracks are not overly complex; electronica with a few audio tracks (guitar lines etc.) on occasion. I've been running an ancient 10-year-old Dell with just 2MB RAM for years and it handles my tunes, so I'm unclear as to what a sensible minimum spec would be? It's not that £ is an issue, it's just that it feels silly spending £1500 if £500 will work for my requirements?
Looking at what I use now (which I know appears comical), it seems any low-end machine with e.g. i3/i5/i7 would work, but am I missing something? Are new FL versions massively more blood-sucking than the versions of say 2 years ago?
I just want to get going again, and this is holding me back ((sob)) - any general advice would be cool.
