making a track with Wav samples

Hi Everyone
Been using FL Studio 12 for around a little over 2 years now,
And thinking about my favourite time of the year,Halloween. I had this Eureka moment when getting up this morning.

And thought, how cool it would be to make a Halloween style track,using only stock Wav samples from my library collection!
Have seen it done elsewhere in another DAW (no names mentioned,he,he)

So,I know about dragging and dropping the samples onto the playlist.But what other ways can I use the Wav samples ,etc
I would (time and shift- work permitting) use maybe a few other instruments, to add some spice,make my track REALLY SCARY,ha,ha

Any advice or suggestions would be welcome
