A simple workflow tip...

If you are using a MIDI controller with sliders/knobs, this tip might be useful in your workflow.

Tip: Link the Master Fader of the Mixer to your MIDI controller slider/knob, preferably a slider.

How to: Right click the Master Fader of Mixer, select "Link to Controller...", Make sure Omni is not selected so that only Master Fader is controlled irrespective of the Mixer channel selected, Move your MIDI controller slider, Save it as a template or re-save your existing template with this change.

Optional, but recommended: Change the formula in the "Link to controller" dialog box from "Input" to "Input*0.8" while doing the above so that the maximum value your slider can make the Mixer Master Fader to go to is 0dB/100%.

Use: Since Master Fader is the one that we usually reach out to most during our music making, especially mixing, it is very convenient to control it with a hardware slider so that you can quickly adjust the level.

Hope it helps. If anyone has any improvement suggestions, please let me know.

Thanks!
