Projects load slower these days :(

Something I noticed a while back, is that FL appears to load projects slower, the more it has developed. So I got an FL5 project (nothing too complicated), re-saved in both FL7 and FL12.5.1. Then I used a stopwatch to time both of them (one at a time guys, no excuses). Started with the app open, dragged the project onto the toolbar and started the timer once I'd let go. Stopped the timer when loaded. Did it a few times to confirm there's no fluke and that this is what's actually happening. Here are the average results:

FL12 - 14.6 sec
FL7 5.3 sec

Pretty huge difference. FL12 loads the project almost 3 times slower than FL7. Man, just using FL7 for a while reminded me of how snappy this app used to be back in the day. Will FL ever be this fast again, or are we stuck with an FL that seems to load slower every iteration?
