Edison vs Export file..which is better quality?

Hi guys, so i've been curious I use UAD plugins and many times after export I play the exported file and the delays just ruin the mix. However if I use edison on master channel and just record everything in real time and drag and drop that recorded clip to my desktop, it works perfect.

Is there any loss of quality or would it be bad practice to export like this?
