This is the crux of all of the issues fl has been having since 2011, roughly.

production in 2007 would have taken no more than a few soundfonts, and some simple midi patterns, possibly sylenth1 (massive would have taken an entire cpu to run one instance)

I think music back then was much better in quality, more emotions were able to be conveyed. whether was due to a better software/hardware is what I would debate. I would argue that my headache level has gone up to the point somebody is in the hospital :)

production in 2011, more complex, but cpu and ram efficiency in fl studio or any other daw was minimal and workflow was fast.

overall, since 2011, I think ram and cpu efficiency in fl studio are exceptional compared with the other daws, but compared with what it was like to run a 32 bit daw, there is much work to be done, to make 64 bit composing the same as it was, before the switch in architectures.
