sidechain on Limiter to pump the bass?

How to do that? seriously how the F*uck to do that?

every time i do that, i end up with shity results, because if i manage to get it pumping its on too low volume, but if i volume up the chanel on mixer the sound that has been sidehained, it gets nearly same as it is not sidechained.
