Files of type

Is there a way to change the default files of type, when I go to open a drum sound its default to .fst so I have to keep changing it to .wav each time.

Also, under General Settings, when I try to set the Data folder for where my default files are save it never stays, it keeps resetting back to the FL Studio folder.
