FLS, Akai MPC and VST instruments

I sequence VST instruments from FL Studio onto my MPC. But once I try to switch instruments in FL Studio, the midi data already recorded in the MPC switches to the new instrument. What I need to know is, how do you record more than one VST onto the MPC using FL studio? Is there a way to do this?
