No great drama if it can't be done but I should ask if anyone has a suggestion.
I've got an old FL file that I am trying to open which refers to Sample Tank. I made it when that was just called sampletank.dll but since then they have (not very sensibly) renamed it to sampletank2.x.dll
Consequentially FLS fails to find the VSTi. I could just replace it but I have to admit I can't remember what sound it's supposed to be loading.
Renaming the .dll to sampletank.dll causes all kinds of alarms in the copy protection. Not a good idea.
If a .fls file was a XML file I guess I could find and rename the expected .dll But it's hex and so before I start mucking around with hex editors I thought I'd check if somebody had already figured this out.
Cheers.
Trying to substitute for an old VSTi.
