I'm no DJ or Vinyl junkie...
I was very happy to find a track I've been searching for on Discogs, advertised as near mint condition from a seller with 100% positive reviews (450 reviews), so I got it and played it and in a couple of places the record gets stuck and looking closely there are just a couple of scratches in places.
Before I leave feedback for the buyer, is this normal for an advertised near-mint record? I only have a fairly cheap hifi turntable so maybe something more "pro" would be needed?
On visual inspection it would take a keen eye to find the problems, so I can't really blame them for missing it. I would contact the seller but this is my first time on discogs and I am not sure how all that works or if I can even be bothered with the hassle.
It's just, I imagine near mint to mean it will play from start to finish. The fact it gets stuck in two or three places makes the music more or less unplayable.
But I am not into this kind of stuff, maybe I could do something to "fix" it? More weight on the needle? Or does that damage the record?
