some samples only play in one note, why?

for example..when i use the "paddish" sample, no matter what key i try playing it in its always c5. i used a demo version of fl studio 4 a long time ago and all samples played in whatever key i pressed. im using fl studio 9 fruity edition. any help is appreciated, thank you
