play back is off beat

when i lay out my drum pattern then play out a meledy even after trying to quantinizing the meledy is off by one beat its frustrating and maybe im dumb but i just cant fix it. i even tried to look for flstudio 7 or 8 to get so i wont have to deal with the problem. never had an issue with those only fl9. help me please!
