Hardstyle 101

I want to make start making hardstyle, but I am having trouble finding info about song structure, sound elements, drum patterns, etc. I've scoured the net, but I have come up empty handed. Can anyone point me into the right direction? Feel free to write a few words, or a book if you have the knowledge
