I started with music on PC with trackers downloaded from BBSs when internet didn't exist. (For kids.., yea., internet sometime ago didn't exist)
10 years ago a person would laugh at you if you said that you'll be able to run compressors, reverbs, delays., eqs., etc., etc., all at the same time in the same computer.
I remember when I installed my SoundBlaster Live!., and wooo... a hardware sampler (8 point interpolation) and realtime reverb FX and delay as sends!!! (2 FXs only possible) wooo0!!., those days a CPUs couldn't process even a single reverb instance. I think there wasn't even realtime processors like vstss as CPUs couldn't handle them.
So years later here we are, using hundreds of FX., gigabytes and gigabytes of libraries, all sort of controllers and stuff....
So what do you think is the next step?? 10 years from now on, what we will have that nowadays is just impossible and would be ridiculous to even think about it?
Regards
How do you imagine the future of DAWs and audio in general?
