Affecting the main mixer from another Insert?

ok i tried it but somehow it doesnt work, still. here is what i did.

my mixer channels are all full. i took insert 10, included an additional reverb + eq. while highlighting the insert 10 channel i clicked with the left mouse button on the main mixer the option "enable send from insert 10 to master", but i hear nothing changed............
