deleting background noises in imported wav"s?????

Hi!

is there any way to delete background noises on imported wavs? I play guitar and I conected it to my computer through mic input, and I recorded it with computers sound recorder. So when recorder it is in wav form. The problem is that it has this background noise that I want to delete, is there any way to do it?? tnx for the help!
