Really? Nearly all programming languages have similar structures, usually only syntax and some conventions differ.

From what I understand, writing the code hardly takes any time at all - it's the requirements collection and debugging that takes the longest.
Since the FL dev team obviously has the requirements determined for their software, it's only a matter of writing it up in another language and testing it.
So forget years, try a matter of a few months at most.

I doubt you know anything at all about software development :p
