Booming isssues when not recording...

How does booming/ room-mode resonance affect our mixes if we are not "recording" live audio in the room?
Because the booming is room dependent, even pro-tracks boom in the room because of room modes. So how to decide that our mix is really booming or is it just because of room modes?

Also, the room mode resonances are room dependent so how to balance the mix such that it sounds balanced when heard in most of the environments?

I know that room treatment is very important (had posted one topic earlier about booming). But here I just want to know in the context considering that room treatment has not been done.
