Seems you are looking for some useable feedback, so rather than spouting off insults to the program it self (the downloader) I'll give some hopefully useable feedback.jmc wrote:I don't believe it's a bad idea ... when it works perfectly ... which it doesn't at the momentSipher wrote:I do hope the decision makers realized that that combination of a preset selector download manager is a bad idea
so we'll separate both again and provide simple listboxes for preset browsing & the
downloader for the other needs. We can only hope we can make the content library
usable enough (and pack it with free goodies) for people to use it later.
1) It's rather slow to respond...we are a needy bunch and every second counts
2) When you select a patch, it doesn't always display the name of the patch in the synth you are using with the down loader.
3) The single lane collapsible menu system is tedious to use, and it is even more tedious because the downloader isn't re sizable. Any plans on making it vector?. I really like the way NI Maschine lets you zero in on a particular patch by clicking, for instance "Lead", in which all Lead patches are then displayed. They take it a step further even, by allowing you to tag your own patches. You can create a patch, name it whatever and then choose which types and sub types it is found under.
I like the idea behind downloader, and it has potential, especially if it connects user to an online database of sounds while also adding the utility features I mentioned above. Take it a step further even and add cloud sync, where we get our own IL profiles for accessing any synth patch from any computer
