Mixing on lower levels

Seems like your mixing too low. Your not much above the noisefloor of your monitors at that scale.

The dB scale itself means the change is greater the lower you go, so its normal that the reading seems to jump at low levels.

Im not sure why sounds are cutting out, do you have smart disable enabled?
