The only difference between the videos in this regard is that in the second one, auto-scrolling is disabled. To trigger clips, you have to enable Performance mode and then place a song start marker somewhere in the playlist. The clips before the song start can then be triggered while the song is playing, and will be placed behind the song start marker.
