i came up with the name "quad pong" for a delay sfx which bounces across 4 speakers in surround.
I've nucleon's surround template, I'm trying to create a delay which can do the following :
1. ping pong between front & back speakers - u shud hear the 1st echo in the front, 2nd echo in rear,3rd echo in front & so on...
2. ping pong across 4 speakers - 1st echo on FRONT Left, 2nd echo on FRONT Right,3rd echo on REAR right, 4th echo on REAR left ... then round again.
3. Along with above mentioned, i'm placing a reverb after the delay. I want the reverb 'wet' to increase as the echoes die away(probably wet should be inversely linked to echo amplitude via peak controller).
I want this special effect so that it sounds as if each subsequent echo is moving farther away in the surround field.
at this moment, I'm able to create these fx in a very crude way by hand-drawing automation of X-Y controller for each echo (painful stuff !)
I'm sure there must be some sensible way of making an effect chain which can do this for me, but at this point i'm looking for suggestions. wat say nuc?

Probably the easiest way is to use all 8 banks ...
