Video Player Help with issue

Please bear with me while I try to explain:

Scoring a film
138 bpm

The first frame of the film is at 2sec on the nose.
To align it with the grid, I have moved the video player start up by 00:00:260. (left direction in the playlist)
Great, it is aligned with the grid. Unfotunately I need to write 2 sec of music BEFORE frame one and only have 1:73 sec of time to work with. (I know, a small amount of time, but this is software and precision should be a part of that)

If the 'start' feature of the video player would move in the other direction (i.e. into negative values, right direction in the playlist), this might not be an issue.

Is there a feature of FL that I am missing? If not, workarounds? Any ideas would be helpful and thanks in advance!

(Don't bother with posts suggesting PT, Cubase, Studio One, blah blah DAW.....I really need this to work with FL)
