What I could probably do is crossfade half of the drum, and loop this. But it would be fixed to half of the drum (or some last ms?), and wouldn't be editable. Would that be useful?
a ton of people use "ping-pong" loops in hip hop to extend the "air" of the hits, and glue their new programmed material together.
