Performance-Mode: Two active patterns in one row?

Hi there!
I know, it is against the nature of performance-mode, but would it be possible to have two patterns that are placed in the same row active at the same time?
I was building a live project for my launchpad yesterday and in there I have a row of patterns with effect-automations in them. In this case it would be nice to have the option to use several of those effects at the same time (they are different plugins) without devoting a new row to every fx-plugin I am using.
And I have the bad habit (inhertited from the old pattern-block times...) of using extra patterns for variations that have to run together with the original pattern (additional notes on kicks etc) to make sense, and that was the second time I ran into this dead end.
Did I overlook something or is it simply impossible to do that?
Cheers, mooq!
