Newtone still fiddly?

im trying out newtone atm with a vocal sample, WOW, so great! but i expected the handling more like the pianoroll or playlist, start stop points, not that it starts always from the beginning when hitting the space button.
better cut and go options, copy and paste parts and so on, or did i miss something?
