Random muting and other stuff: STILL having problems

Hi everyone. I come to you with an extremely frustrating problem that has nothing to do with impotence (although it's starting to feel like it lol).

After a week of modifying, upgrading and updating my PC and its settings for optimal configurion with FL 10, I'm still having the same problems as I was prior to upgrade. Namely, the dreaded popping, crackling, glitching, and additionally random muting. I never know when it's going to do these things; it does them as and when it pleases. Suddenly it will mute a bar which was playing fine before (the bar appears to be playing but no sound is coming out), or it'll start crackling and popping like a bowl of rice krispies. I'm wondering what the hell is going on because like I say I now have my PC configured to work with FL Studio, in addition to having adjusted the buffer and latency settings numerous times.

If it's of any use, I have an i7 and my operating system is 64 bit Windows.
